What is A Foot Healthcare Practitioner?

A Foot Healthcare practitioner (FHP) is trained to assess, treat and maintain general foot health-providing essential care for issues such as corns, calluses, cracked heels, fungal nails and minor ingrown toenails.

While FHPs do not perform surgical procedures or make medical diagnoses like a podiatrist or chiropodist, they offer preventative and routine treatment that keeps your feet healthy, comfortable and mobile.

 

Elise qualified through the SMAE Institute which delivers one of the highest level accredited FHP courses in the UK, in partnership with Queen Margeret University. This qualification is the equivalent to part of the first year of a university degree and Elise proudly achieved a Distinction in both practical and theoretical modules.
